Barnes Foundation metalwork-inspired key plate charm

$19.00 Regular price $38.00

Designed exclusively for the Barnes Foundation by artist Cynthia Gale, this keyhole plate (also known as an escutcheon) charm is inspired by a piece of ironwork on display in Room 5 above a Renoir painting. Dr. Barnes believed that a metalworker was "just as authentic an artist as Titian, Renoir, or Cézanne" and elevated these utilitarian objects by including them in his ensembles.

Enjoy this small reproduction, crafted from sterling silver and bronze on your own necklace or bracelet. Charm measures 1 1/8" in length (including bale) and 1/2" in width.

Shown on our charm bracelet alongside our key charm, both sold separately. Necklace and bracelet are sold separately.
